Coca-Cola Scholarship Semifinalist

Awarded by the Coca-Cola Scholarship Foundation, November 2015

The Coca-Cola Scholarship has been awarded to 150 individuals nationwide since 1989. The award recognizes academic excellence and community leadership, awarding recipients with a large financial scholarship, as well as acceptance into the life-long community of “Coke Scholars.”

• Selected from 87,060 applicants across the United States to move on to the semi-finals
• Recognized for unparalleled leadership and initiative in academic and community venues

 

Top Person to Watch in Education, 2016

Awarded by the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences International, November 2015

The Academy of Education Arts and Sciences International recognizes leading educators in their annual Bammy Awards event. The Bammy Award is a cross-discipline honor awarded to educators and educational advocates on a nomination basis only. The award recognizes extraordinary work in education. Following the event, nominees are awarded the title of “Person to Watch in Education” to commemorate the incredible work they completed the year prior, as well as to encourage future success.

• Nominated under the category of Student Voice
• Nominated and supported by professionals in the fields of technology education
• Recognized for contributions to student agency and promotion of digital citizenship

 

Bammy Award in Student Voice

SILS (Service Integrity Leadership Spirt) Award (Male Recipient)

Awarded by Mark Sullivan, Principal of Burlington High School, April, 2015

The SILS award, selected by the High School Principal, is presented annually in the Middlesex County to one male and one female in their junior year of High School. The award recognizes students who epitomize:

• Service
• Integrity
• Leadership
• Spirit

 

DECA State Finalist and International Competitor (4th in AAM)

Awarded by DECA Inc., March 2015

DECA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit international student organization facilitating competitive events on the principles of marketing and management in the categories of business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA is career-oriented and prepares emerging leaders by educating students on the principles of business through a variety of written and oral events.

Placed 4th in the Massachusetts State DECA Competition in Apparel and Accessories Marketing, and placed 2nd on an individual role play exam. Tasks included:
• Creative problem solving in a time-sensitive environment
• Effective market identification
• Demonstration and understanding of core marketing terms, strategies, and concepts
• Advanced to the international competition (ICDC)
